The following platforms have some problems with aleph:

  arm, mips, mipsel:
    There's a problem propagating exceptions across shared libraries.
    The aleph interpreter (/usr/bin/aleph) is linked statically with the
    aleph libraries (in /usr/lib/lib/libaleph*.a) as a work around.

  hppa:
    The dynamic linker is broken. Aleph might is very unstable on this platform.

Bugs have been reported in the Debian Bug Tracking System (bugs.debian.org).

The aleph interpreter is linked statically on these platform, this seems
to help somewhat.
