NAME

gnobots2 - the GNOME robots game

 

SYNOPSIS

gnobots2 [ OPTION... ]

 

DESCRIPTION

gnobots2, part of the gnome-games package, is a development of the original Gnome Robots game which was itself based on the text based robots game which can be found on a number of UNIX systems, and comes with the BSD games package on Linux systems.         

This new version includes two types of robots, movable junkheaps, multiple game configurations, user definable keyboard layouts, sound using ESD if you have it, as well as all of the other features which were present in the original Gnome Robots game.          

 

USAGE

To run GNOME Robots II, select "games->GnobotsII" from the Main Menu, or type gnobots2 on the command line.             

 

OPTIONS

This program follows the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (`--'). A summary of the options supported by gnobots2 is included below.              

 

GNOME options

--disable-sound
Disable sound server usage
--enable-sound
Enable sound server usage
--espeaker=HOSTNAME:PORT

Host:port on which the sound server to use is running

--version
Display version information and exit

 

Help options

-?, --help
Show help and exit
--usage
Display brief usage message

 

GTK options

--gdk-debug=FLAGS
Gdk debugging flags to set
--gdk-no-debug=FLAGS
Gdk debugging flags to unset
--display=DISPLAY
X display to use
--sync
Make X calls synchronous
--no-xshm
Don't use X shared memory extension
--name=NAME

Program name as used by the window manager

--class=CLASS
Program class as used by the window manager
--gxid_host=HOST

--gxid_port=PORT

--xim-preedit=STYLE

--xim-status=STYLE

--gtk-debug=FLAGS
Gtk+ debugging flags to set
--gtk-no-debug=FLAGS
Gtk+ debugging flags to unset
--g-fatal-warnings
Make all warnings fatal
--gtk-module=MODULE
Load an additional Gtk module

 

GNOME GUI options

--disable-crash-dialog

 

Session management options

--sm-client-id=ID
Specify session management ID
--sm-config-prefix=PREFIX
Specify prefix of saved configuration
--sm-disable
Disable connection to session manager

 

gnobots2 options

-s, --scenario=NAME
Set game scenario
-c, --config=NAME
Set game configuration
-x, --x=ARG

-y, --y=ARG
