Internal Memorandum

Subject: Linux World T-Shirts
Dear Scott:
I feel it is extremely important for me to look good at the show, especially considering all of the people I hope to meet there. Most likely, I will be included in some press shots, and I don't want everyone to think I am not fashionable. I know most of the hackers present will not care about such things, but not everyone there will have hacked a makefile before. Besides, I may run into Tux or Wilber the Gimp, and you know how well Tux is always dressed.
On another note, I was disappointed to hear that we could not afford T-shirts for my immediate family members. After limiting my request to siblings only, and excluding aunts and uncles, the number of shirts would not been much more than a run of 1,000. Still, I understand the constraints placed on an Open Source organization in its start up phase. I will do my utmost to help promote AbiWord so that the next T-shirt run can include at least a few of my cousins on my mother's side.
Sincerely,
