This is the Debian GNU/Linux prepackaged version of freefont

I am the one who put together freefont in 1995 and put it on sunsite.
It is available from sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/X11/fonts.

The copyrights for the fonts vary. Look into
/usr/share/doc/freefont/copyrights.tar.gz for the individual copyrights for
each font.

All my contributed stuff is under the most recent version of the GPL as usual.
