Just a few notes. The non-GNOME version still builds against gdk-pixbuf and esd, which are arguably GNOME components, but without these, a lot of nifty image features (buddy icons, IM images, etc) won't work, and it's hard to get sound going intuitively. If you'd like to see arts sound support, file a wishlist bug. I also just removed the ICQ plugin. Use the Oscar protocol (labelled 'Oscar / ICQ') for ICQ now. I know this isn't very nice to cause error messages like that, but this is still not a released version of Debian, and y'all know to read this file before filing bugs. If Gaim existed in a stable Debian release with libicq.so, I'd probably have made a compatibility libicq.so which converted your accounts to use Oscar / ICQ, let you know, and then unloaded itself. -- Robert McQueen Sat, 16 Mar 2002 19:46:42 +0000
