Todo list for Debian VNC package. -===============================- See TODO.old for the previous maintainers TODO list. Clean up Xvnc There is a copy of zlib in the Xvnc directory that I think is being compiled and linked statically with Xvnc. As Xvnc is based on XFree86, I would like to copy the build system of the XFree86 servers packaged for Debian, they all appear to be linked with zlib. Further investigation required. Update the Xvncserver wrapper I would like it to use a seperate .xsession file. It would be good to bring the upstream version and the debian version closer, possible try and send some of the Debian changes upstream. Write some build dependancies Probably some X stuff in there. I think it might be possible to get vnc to compile on its own, without a copy of xlib6g-dev being installed. The build process requires a copy of xmkmf and imake to be avaliable, both are provided as part of the Xvnc source. The disadvantage is that it might take slightly longer to build, xmkmf and imake are already being built, part of the build process is using the installed version, and part is using the version that comes with Xvnc.
