LessTif mailing lists

Mailinglists

LessTif currently has three public mailing lists: lesstif, lesstif-digest, and lesstif-commits. Those are used to keep in touch, solve problems, and track development.

You should only send mail to the LessTif mailing list, the others are read-only.

LessTif Public Mailing Lists
lesstif@hungry.com is the list for general discussion of LessTif.
Send mail to lesstif-subscribe@hungry.com to subscribe, and lesstif-unsubscribe@hungry.com to unsubscribe.
lesstif-digest@hungry.com is a digest of the general mailinglist (lesstif@hungry.com).
Send mail to lesstif-digest-subscribe@hungry.com to subscribe and lesstif-digest-unsubscribe@hungry.com to unsubscribe.
lesstif-commits shows CVS commits.

Mailing list archives: by E-mail
The mailing lists are run by the ezmlm program. You can ask ezmlm questions by sending it E-mail. One of the things it can do is send you copies of old message, another functionality is to send you a list of subjects.
To get messages 123 through 145 (a maximum of 100 per request), send an empty E-mail to <lesstif-get.123_145@lesstif.org>
To get an index with subject and author for messages 123-456 , send an empty E-mail to <lesstif-index.123_456@lesstif.org>
Similarly you can get an index of the lesstif-commits list by mailing to <lesstif-commits-index.123_456@lesstif.org>, and you can retrieve messages from lesstif-commits by sending mail to <lesstif-commits-get.123_145@lesstif.org>
Please do note the underscore sign embedded in the E-mail addresses, a browser which underlines the above links may make it difficult for you to read these addresses correctly.

Mailing list archives via the web
A more direct way to get to the mailing list archives is to point your browser to www.mail-archive.com. Starting late April 2000, both the lesstif and and the lesstif-commits mailing lists are archived there.
Two views are available : threaded and sorted by date.

Since a few months our lesstif-commits list has been moved and the archive is now on SF/geocrawler

The mail-archive.com archives lag a bit, messages usually only show up after a couple of hours.
